How We Scout

We drive every road before you do.

Every tour is scouted and led by the team. This is what that involves.

The four steps

    Discover

    We shortlist roads from maps, local advice and miles of our own. Most do not make the list.

  2. Cars on Dam

    Drive

    We drive the whole route to time it and to find the stops. No tour goes on sale before this.

    Refine

    We fix what did not work: a rough surface, a long gap between fuel stops, a late lunch.

    Lead

    We lead the tour from the front car, with a second team car at the back.
